This is my friend Kim. We worked together last year at the magazine and are bonded for life (BFL?)…it feels like we’ve been friends for 20 years. We like to talk about photography. This is from our two or three hour picnic lunch where at one point I said: “Sometimes I don’t know which camera to take a picture with…my dSLR or my phone…discuss.” She’s such a gem and she looks like a rockstar here.
I think these two are self-explanatory. I was surprised at my delight at seeing this iconic sign when a friend (hi Kate!) took me to a great viewing spot earlier this year. I didn’t think I really cared about it, but it did feel very California. This will be my 4th summer in a row spent in the LA area…it’s weirdly a second home to me now.
Some more pictures from this recent roll of film.
From one of my trips to Nashville. Eating tacos in truckbeds, hikes, coffee shops, etc.
I’m cracking myself up with my creative forms of procrastination as I head into the final countdown for both my show and for my thesis (rough draft due this month!). The closer I get, the crazier my procrastination becomes. Example: I recently purchased a month-long barre class deal which I started yesterday. I am now choosing workout out over working on grad school. Anyway, in some ways it has contributed to completing some long put-off projects. Got some film developed. This was a roll I had been working on from January until May. I’ll be posting these over the next week. First up, some pictures of my cousin’s kitchen.
