MFA Monday…5 days until California !!!

Every day is a little crazy right now! On Saturday, I leave for my month-long stint in California and I take a leave of absence from work. I’ll be dashing up to San Francisco and Oakland for a few days first and then I’ll be in LA on the 4th of July. This is my third summer in southern California and I kind of have my thing I do…friends, favorite restaurants, grocery stores (Trader Joe’s!), beaches I like, a church I go to when I’m there and I pretty much know my way around. I’m so grateful and ready for this month where I can focus on school and art (and honestly, some R&R).

I am over the moon about some printing (images adhered to bamboo!) I recently got back. It’s an alternative to traditional framing and I want to do it to every picture I’ve ever made. I spend most of my free time reading the books pictured above and writing papers for my classes that will meet daily in July. You can expect a post with a recently shot wedding shortly after I get to California…
